Alexander Viazovtsev was born in Siberia, Russia. At the age of 7 he started playing flute. In 2000, Alexander transferred to the College-Conservatory of Music, Univ. Cincinnati, where he received his Artist Diploma degree in 2002, studying with Dr. Brad Garner. In 2003, as a winner of the competitions, Alexander was a guest soloist with the New Mexico Symphony & Dallas Chamber Orchestras. Alexander’s first professional job was a one-year position with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Norfolk, VA (2004-05). In 2005-06 he served as acting principal flute with the Phoenix Symphony. In the fall of 2007 Alexander won the principal flute position in the Las Vegas.
